Keith Everette Smith
The talented writer and producer extraordinaire, Keith Everette Smith is a three-time GMA Dove Award nominated producer and writer. He grew up in Ohio, played on The Ohio State University Marching Band while in college, then transferred to Liberty University where he began producing local Christian artists, including Meredith Andrews, who is now signed to Word Records. After a few years at Liberty, Keith became the Instrumental Music Director for Saddleback Church in Southern California where he had the opportunity to work with people including the legendary David Pack (Ambrosia), songwriter/producer Adam Watts, jazz great Tony Guerrero, and "Glee" vocal producer Tim Davis, Matt Papa, Sarah Kelly, and Jadon Lavik. In 2009, Smith and his wife Erin moved to Nashville, TN. Upon moving to Nashville, Keith collaborated with Alan Powell to write songs for a project for Chad Graham, then helmed the Christian pop band "Anthem Lights" with Powell and Graham as founding members. The band signed with Provident Label Group less than a year later. Besides writer and producing, Smith also finds time to regularly perform as a trumpet player for a wide array of music artists. Upon making great music, Smith says "I work on a song until it hits me at an emotional place...that's my job, to keep working until the music penetrates the soul." |
